“My Dad played in a band. He was guitarist and singer. When I was nine, he was performing at the Turks Head. It was my first time in a pub and he dedicated this to me.
In my eyes he was like a rock star, it was so special. I couldn’t believe it, a song for me in an environment I had never been in.
I think he knew the owner so he could smuggle me in. I can remember the scampi fries and Coke to this day.”
